Washington Energy Law LLP is pleased to announce that Peter Colvin has joined the firm as an Associate Attorney. Peter brings a strong background in engineering, business, and law, enhancing the firm’s national energy law practice with additional technical and regulatory expertise.

Prior to joining the firm, Peter served on the Regulatory Analysis Team at the National Laboratory of the Rockies, where he contributed to policy reports and developed regulatory guidance for the Bureau of Land Management. His experience also includes work on a range of energy and natural resource matters.

Peter earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Princeton University and a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from Boston College. His academic work spans chemical and biological engineering, diplomacy, and management systems. He has received several distinctions, including the James Madison Society Fellowship and the U.S. Gold Presidential Service Award.
